A friend who knows that I like to fix up old bikes in my spare time mentioned to me that his daughter was looking for a bike to ride to uni.No problem I said.
This bike had been stored outside for many years and was in a pretty sad state. Its still not quite in the better than new category, but at about 30years of age this old Citisport came up OK. A grease and oil change, new tyres, some replacement parts (including a 1978 Normandy front hub) and a bit of general TLC.
Now she's good to go again, and rides very nicely. The new owner was pleased and hopefully it will now be on the road for another good few years.
